The Easter basket shopping is complete. Good thing I realized this morning that I had not purchased a basket or any Easter presents for Baby M! She would not have noticed, but B would have said, “Where the baby’s basket? Why she doesn’t have one?” (We’re still working on his grammar, ok? He’s pretty darn good for a two year old.)
My basket:
- 2 belts
- a brightly colored umbrella
- 1 tank top
Baby M’s basket:
- 1 summery outfit
- 1 tiny swimsuit
- 1 tiny swim shirt
B’s basket:
- Swedish fish in plastic eggs
- bubbles
- Iron Man sunglasses
- 2 books
- toddler-sized set of plastic golf clubs
- kite
(We went crazy on gifts. I realize this.)
H’s basket:
- jelly beans (not Starburst or Jelly Belly – do you realize how hard it is to find regular jelly beans?!)
- other small gifts that I am not yet willing to disclose
I also need to buy some champagne because I am going to make some mimosas. I haven’t had any alcohol since July 2010, and since we’re not celebrating Easter with a big traditional meal or anything, I feel that mimosas are required.
July 2010? Yeah, you deserve many drinks!
Happy Easter!
Mimosas sound like a perfect idea. I want to see a picture of B playing with his tiny golf clubs, because that sounds adorable.
Um…you have totally inspired me to make mimosas on Sunday morning!!! We are also not having a big Easter dinner. But I still haven’t gotten Gav a basket, or myself or Rob….
Go for it. Chase it with a bloody mary.
Ooh, mimosas. Good idea!
Mimosas for the win! I am a big fan of Brach’s jelly beans; but weirdly not the lime flavor, because it tastes funny to me. (Almost floral? I don’t know – I just don’t like it.)
Man, I might have to get some OJ and make some mimosas myself.
You purchase your own basket items? That’s a thought…I rely on hubby to do it, though I will occasionally give him a pack of Peeps or something to go in there if everyone is receiving a pack of Peeps.
Of course, by leaving him on his own to purchase items, that does mean he will go out at 10PM on Easter eve to pick up items…Perhaps I should rethink this.
Just to clarify, I do the purchasing for our son and hubby’s baskets…I just leave to him to fill MY basket.
