Dear Fetus,
You caused me to throw up so violently on Thursday night that I burst a blood vessel near my eye and now I have a big blood blister kind of thing. And the giant bug bite next to my eye turned from normal skin color to purple. So thanks for that. Thanks a lot.
We’re in the second trimester now, so do you think you could maybe ease up a little?

I couldn’t bring myself to keep a pregnancy journal, but I do keep a journal for P – letters to her. I haven’t written in it for about six months because it would be the sort of crap she’d show her therapist. But I try.

I just read a bunch of back posts too, to see if you announced this weeks ago and I had no idea, but nope; looks like this was it. I guess Baby #2 it’s all, “Whatevs; I’m pregnant. What, did I not tell you guys that?” I’m kidding. I actually sort of love this approach. Congrats!!
