What is Blog Share?
Blog Share is one day when you write an anonymous post that appears on someone else’s blog.

What is the purpose?
The purpose is to write something you might not otherwise want or be able to write if it were to appear on your own blog.

How does Blog Share work?
First, you send me an e-mail or leave me a comment stating that you want to participate. Then I draw names and assign people to write on other blogs. I send each person an e-mail that says, for example:

You will write on Joe’s blog. His e-mail address is joe@awesomeblog.com. His blog is www.awesomeblog.com.
Bernadette will write on your blog. Her e-mail address is bernie@blogsharerules.com. Her blog is www.fancyshmancy.com.

Then the day before Blog Share, you e-mail your post to Joe, who posts it on his blog. And you receive an e-mail from Bernadette and post it on your blog. Ta da! It’s all very easy.

Will there be a list of all blogsharing blogs?
Yes, there will be a public list if there are 30 or more participants. I think 30 is enough to provide some anonymity. My favorite part of the last Blog Share was being able to read all the anonymous posts, and I want people to have access to all the posts again.

What if I don’t have any secrets I want to share?
You don’t have to post a secret. Last time someone wrote about her crush on Leonard Nimoy. Someone else wrote about a job interview. Several people complained about their boyfriends or husbands. Use Blog Share as a chance to vent, or be more honest than usual, or share something you don’t want your mother to read, or just be silly.

When is Blog Share?
July 16. If you want to participate, you must commit by July 14.

My post is halfway written! I had been tossing some ideas around, but last week I was inspired and know exactly what I will be writing! I probably won’t do the rest until the last minute, but the idea is there.
